Offmore Primary School

House Teams

Every child at Offmore belongs to a house team, of which we have four. Each house team has a Captain and Vice-Captain, who encourage their team to earn house points, which are given as learning powers. They hold weekly whole school assemblies to celebrate their teams successes.

House Captains

At Offmore our house captains role is to:

  • Promote physical activities
  • Suggest ideas to support new physical activities or develop what is in place
  • To meet regularly with Miss Newton to share what has been happening within their role
  • To be a role model to others and promote our school values.

Tennyson

Why did I become a house captain?

Owen- "I wanted to be a house captain as I think that I am a great role model and example to the younger (and older) children in our community. I will try and fulfill my duties as a house captain by being efficient at counting house points, setting an example and knowing my learning powers."

Maisie- ".I wanted to be a house captain because I have been inspired by the other house captains and I think I am very lucky and thankful that I had this opportunity to become a house captain!"

Bronte

Why did I become a house captain?

Amelie- "The reason why I wanted to be house captain or vice was because I love to do Math and I got inspired by my cousin Alicia who was house captain for Bronte last time. I just wanted to have a good last year at Offmore."

Eleri- "I wanted to be house captain because I like having the responsibility and knowing that students and teachers can trust and rely on me."

Wordsworth

Why did I become a house captain?

Matilda- ".I wanted to be house captain because I would respect you all and be a good role model to the school and my house. I also would add up all the house points and let you all know the scores."

Jessica-  "I wanted to be house captain as I am a good team player and I am very kind and responsible. I'm also respectful and trustworthy. Go Wordsworth!"

Shakespeare
